Gunnar Sturluson is a Supreme Court Attorney. He holds an LL.M. degree in European law and international trade law from the University of Amsterdam. Gunnar has worked at LOGOS since 2000 and its predecessor, the Counsel Office, between 1992-1999 and has been a partner since 1995. He was a managing partner between 2001-2013. Gunnar has extensive knowledge in his areas of expertise and has litigated numerous cases before district courts, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Iceland. In 1995-2007, he was a lecturer on competition law at the University of Iceland, Faculty of Law. Gunnar has been on board of several companies. He has been on the board of Arion Bank hf. from 2019, in the board of Performing Arts Centre Iceland from 2021, is a board member on the Nordic Arbitration Centre and a board member at Harpa, Cultural and Social Centre in Reykjavik. He was the chairman of the board of the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service between 2016-2017, on the board of GAMMA hf. between 2017-2019, the chairman of the board of the Icelandic Dance Company between 2013-2016 and was elected by Parliament as a member of the Parliamentary Elections Committee in 2013-2017. Gunnar was chairman of the board of the Internet in Iceland Ltd. for a time. He has also served on boards of various business and investment companies.

Gunnar has been active in social affairs and was the President of the FEIF, International Federation of the Icelandic Horse Associations from 2014-2023 and on the board from 2011. He has also been vice chairman of the Icelandic Equestrian Association, chairman of the Well-Wisher Association in Stykkishólmur, on the board of the rescue fund of Breiðarfjörður, the building committee for the old church in Stykkishólmur and took part in establishing the Library of Water in Stykkishólmur.
